Active Citizens
Mainstay support people with learning disabilities and ensure all individuals are afforded the same opportunities as others, and to also participate in all aspects of community and society. We support people in a way that encourages social inclusion and informs the person receiving support about whats on in their local community that may be of interest to them. This helps promote service user participation and helps the person to be known in their local community with key people which can also help keep them safe.
Supporting people to achieve
At Mainstay we treat each person as an individual and always like to see the people we support achieve their outcomes and what has been agreed through 6-Monthly Reviews.
We believe that with our person centred approach we are focusing on what matters to the person and also promoting what is happpening in each of their local communities which is encouraging integration, inclusion, involvement and safety awareness.
Mainstay always evidence a persons achievements and this is celebrated through praise and recognition. Mainstay holds events throughout the year that we invite family, social work, other people supported and health colleagues which celebrate such milestones being met.
Have a look at the gallery and see what some of the people supported have already contributed to their local communities and also the new skills they have learned along the way.
