Having your own dedicated staff team means you don’t always have to be in a group and that you can choose to do activities that you enjoy on your own.
When you have your own staff member with you it really means you can do anything you like.
We support people across Glasgow to do all sorts of activities every day, here are some of the things we support people to do to give you an idea of the things you might like to do – but remember it really is up to you and if you want to do something that is not on this list its not a problem because your staff member is with you to make sure you have the best day you can have:
- Bus/train trips all over Scotland
- Ten Pin Bowling
- Swimming Sporting Activities – going to watch or participate
- Visiting historic and informative places
- College/night classes
- Activity Groups (organised by Mainstay or other organisations)
- Eating out
- Library visits
- Going for a drink
- Nights out
- Health appointments
- Shopping (window or buying)
- Working (voluntary or paid)
Some of these activities might be on your own or you might want to meet up with friends to do some of these things. We can also arrange that you have a driver to support you if you have access to your own car, our staff can be insured through the mobility car scheme insurance.
If you would like to do any of these things or add to our list then contact us and we can talk to you about this as part of planning your support.
