Mainstay have one residential service in the South Side of Glasgow, Daniel House, which is the home to 9 adults with a range of learning disabilities. These people have lived at Daniel since it opened over 20 years ago. Most of the people living there are older and require support with personal care, which staff are there to help with.
Each person living at Daniel has their own individualised support plan which is discussed with them on a regular basis to ensure that they are participating in activities that are meaningful to them and that they enjoy. Short breaks and holidays are also arranged for the people living in this setting.
A Manager and 3 Senior Support Workers are the management team within the house with a team of Support Workers to make up the staffing compliment. There are 2 shifts with 3 staff on each shift as well as an awake night and sleepover staff member through the night.
Each person within this service receives a personal allowance each week from their benefits, all costs of running the service are met by Mainstay.
This service is registered by Care Inspectorate and required to adhere to the National Care Standards applicable to Care Homes for People with Learning Disabilities. Our most recent inspection reports can be found on the Care Inspectorate website or on our News page.
